Hi all,

Here the latest updates on TradeFxPlus‘ performance. Quite good once more!

For those of you who wonders what TradeFxPlus is, it’s a company that offers 100% free signal service, sign up HERE right away to try them.

The main difference between the paid subscription versus the paid-one is that paid members receive the trade alerts by email or sms on a daily basis (trades are usually taken once a day), while free-members have to log in to the TradeFxPlus website around 8pm to check for new signals.

The performance of this free signal service has been pretty good in the last few months, check this out:

Looking at this picture, you can either appreciate the number of pips accumulated per period, or what they call the ROI (return on investment). For those of you wondering how they managed to get a positive ROI out of a negative pips month, it’s simply because each signal have a different leverage setting for people who’d like to use their money management settings. Otherwise, taking the same amount of lot on each trade would results in a simple factor of the number of pips made every months.

Happy trading to you all,

Frank

Zulutrade Provider: Pro-B5 an Update!

Friday, August 13, 2010 15:05
Posted in category ZuluTrade Providers

Hi!

Pro-B5 is still ranked 2nd place in the Zulutrade performance page, and still has more than 3,500 subscribers. But there is something annoying with him lately: the complete lack of performance for the last months.

Simply by looking at the monthly Profits and Losses from Prob-B5 we noticed how he greatly reduced his trading lately 95%+ of his whole performance has been achieved in the first 5 months back in late 2008 and early 2009. This explains the following graphs where you’ll notice how the pips have been quite parse lately. And by lately I mean 12 months!!

For the last year: approx. 233 trades from August 11, 2009 to Aug. 11, 2010: 500 to 700 pips.

It is of course still pretty good for a whole 1-year period, but quite a low volume of pips, about  50 pips per month.

Now, look at this, we had 233 trades for 12 months, now we have only about 85 trades in the last 6-months, so it’s still slowing down. No more concurrent positions well at least that is great news!

Now let’s cut this period in half and look at the past 3-months (90 days):

So now this time we don’t make up for the losses.. and that’s for the last 3 months… Only 41 trades in that period.

Finally have a look at the last 30 days.

Positive this time, but still about half of the last year’s monthly average… and quite a small amount of pips that could get knocked out with a single, normal drawdown.

I hope this shows some interesting facts about Pro-B5 for you. It is really not a bad signal provider at all, but a very slow one lately and would probably require that you use a higher leverage with him than what you normally do.. But keep in mind that the last 90 days have been negative, the last 60 days have been too. So just be real patient…

Have a great weekend!

Zulutrade Provider: Many Analysis!

Posted in category ZuluTrade Providers

Hi everyone!

I spent a lot of time reviewing a few providers from the Zulutrade platform this week. I have built a nice picture for each of them showing the effect of varying the number of concurrent positions that you allow, also the maximum stop-loss that you want to use.

As you will see below, much of the well known providers, even with 2,000+ followers, do not provide a very good signal. We really must be careful when choosing a provider. Check this out:

In the case of Genexus (above), we seem to have a reliable and consistent provider, unfortunately not making tons of pips, but at least regularly positive! Notice how using unlimited number of position adds up to be worse than limiting to 1 or 3!

Circle-q (above) is a very popular signal provider on Zulutrade, but personally I would never be using him on a live account. In fact I won’t even lose any more time trying him on a demo account neither. The major problem with circle-q is that 90% of the time, he closes a large winner too late, denying 30-50 or even 150 pips to end up closing 8 pips or worse: in the negative!! This is a real problem with him because he does it all the time.

MayfairSwing (above) is also quite popular as a signal provider on Zulutrade. But again beware of him as he doesn’t seem to be accumulating any pips lately, 180 pips in the last 90 days is pretty small. Of course 180 pips is never small for someone who takes much more leverage on the market but in this case I really don’t believe the risk is worth it at all. Notice that MayfairSwing never used more than 2 concurrent positions lately, this is important but can’t really make up for the lack of performance!

Now above we see BRSTFOREX quite a popular signal provider on Zulu also. But this time a real dangerous one. Notice how a small account using 1-3 concurrent positions would only be accumulating losses. And for someone who thinks he can be a winner with many concurrent positions, keep in mind that BRSTFOREX used has many as 30 concurrent trades, on many occasion in the last 90 days, only to achieve a 1,000 pips performance. Very very risky indeed! And quite demanding on your margin!

Finally here we see quite a better signal provider with FLY_ON_THE_WALL. But again we must be very careful with this one because in the last 90 days alone he used as many as 64 concurrent positions, which makes absolutely no sense at all on a real money account. So I had to limit the maximum number of concurrent positions to 10. But even with 3 concurrent positions we can accumulate quite a large amount of pips in the last 90 days 5,000 to 6,000 pips!

I really hope you appreciate my work and it helps you when you come to choose a provider on Zulutrade. Once again I really encourage you to test the strategy that you’d like to implement on a demo account first! And keep in mind that you need quite a large equity should you want to allow many concurrent positions! You can open your demo account right here.

Have a great weekend all and have fun! :)

Zulutrade Provider: SystemsFX LIVE

Posted in category ZuluTrade Providers

Hi all!

I have analyzed the last 90 days of trading from a great signal provider today. SystemsFX Live is currently ranked first in the Zulutrade ranking page and there are plenty of good reasons for that!

First of all this provider has a long history (80 weeks) with Zulu. They also trade exactly as they pretend they are: 1-3 concurrent positions, only on EURUSD. And the best part is, they respect the Stop-Loss strategy extremely carefully which means a lot less stress for the followers!

They average 74% winning trades which is excellent with the current maximum stop-loss they accept. The worst trade on the whole history has seen a very small -165 pips. They usually close their losing position much faster before reaching -125 pips.. very often around -25 pips or so. This is an excellent strategy because in that way they do not wash away all previous profits on a single large loss!

The graph below is pretty interesting, it shows that you could still use a smaller stop-loss with them to accumulate even more profits than they did. But you could also simply add them to your portfolio “as is” and see some great amount of pips accumulate! :)

Another great thing about SystemsFX Live is that they received a rating from a lot of live traders and overall their rating is very good. This is something we really don’t see very often on Zulutrade since many providers have done large drawdowns to a lot of live traders! Well, this time it seems to be some serious trader(s) with a great strategy behind SystemsFX!

I hope you’ll give them a try on a demo account to see it live accumulating more pips, and I seriously hope they’ll keep up the great work they’ve done so far and stay motivated! :) You can open a free demo account right here.

Have a great weekend everyone and please feel free to comment!

Zulutrade Provider: PraetorianGuard or EliteCapital

Hi all!

Andrew asked me for an analysis of the Zulutrade provider named PraetorianGuard and EliteCapital. The same person is behind both. And looking at the trading history of both I can see many similarities. But the overall results are quite different!

For both I analyzed the last 90 days of trades: from February 9 to May 10, 2010.

PraetorianGuard is currently ranked 3rd on the Zulu ranking page. Having over 1500 subscribers.

This provider usually trades 1 or 2 positions at a time, for 2-4 trades per day. The largest losing position in the last 90 days has been -160 pips only. This explains why any stop-loss above 160 pips would not have been triggered and we see excellent overall performance.

We have quite a different picture with EliteCapital, even though both providers are from the same trader. EliteCapital also trades only 1 or 2 (sometimes 3) concurrent positions, but his largest losing trade was a recent -448 pips, and more recently trades went to -200 and even touched -300 pips.

What is very interesting with this provider is the fact that it was much more profitable to limit yourself to 1 single position instead of following all of his signals. In this case we see some correct overall performance for the last 90 days, accumulating 300-500 pips depending on the stop-loss used. Not bad, and pretty much comparable to using a single position with PraetorianGuard too! See below!

I hope you found some interesting information in this short analysis. Overall I think that this trader performs quite well, but I wouldn’t be surprise if we see some larger floating loss with PraetorianGuard in the near future. So just don’t use a stop-loss too tight… but personally I think that a stop-loss above 160 pips and below 260 pips is reasonable and should give enough room for trades to turn back to the positive side!

Have a great trading week!

Zulutrade Provider: Zynergy

Hi,

Today I will review a rather interesting signal provider from Zulutrade: Zynergy. Currently in fourth position in the Zulu ranking, Zynergy has more than 350 subscribers right now.

I analyzed the last 90 days of trades from Zynergy and noticed these interesting facts:

  • Very often uses 5-10 concurrent positions. (up to 14 on one occasion)
  • Largest losing trade was -515 pips
  • Largest winning position was 293 pips but was closed at +24 pips…
  • Average pips per trade is around 10 pips.

Now comes the very interesting part, the analysis of using a maximum of 1, 3 or unlimited concurrent positions with an overriding stop loss to protect our equity.

On the chart above we see that we could choose any kind of stop loss above 80 pips to prevent our balance from a sudden large loss. Of course, the larger the SL we choose, the more room we have for profits. (Less position will get stopped out)

Note also that you can set a maximum of 3 concurrent positions for Zynergy and you will still get just as many pips as you would taking all of his trades. But you will be much safer by opening less trades!

Of course this analysis is based on the last 90 days of history, the future can always tell a different story!

Be careful but you should still enjoy your time trading forex :)

Zulutrade Providers: SORD

Tuesday, April 6, 2010 13:19
Posted in category ZuluTrade Providers

Hi all!

I made a few new analysis in the past few days and will now publish the results.

Here’s my stop-loss analysis for SORD, currently in 3rd position in the Zulutrade Ranking page. Having 175 subscribers, SORD has been trading on Zulu for the last 15 weeks, making 309 trades with a great 21 pips per trade average.

As always, I studied the effect of using an overriding stop loss (to prevent from sudden crash) and I also used different maximum concurrent positions, 1, 3 or unlimited.

As seen on the chart above, SORD has accumulated many pips in the last 90 days. For those of you interested in using SORD with an unlimited number of concurrent positions, keep in mind that SORD opened as many as 9 concurrent trades in the last 90 days.

A very positive aspect of SORD is that his largest negative trade reached only -114 pips, which is extremely small compared to most other providers on Zulu!

Overall this provider seems pretty promising!

FapTurbo latest version, latest results!

UPDATE: There is now a new version with yet another Pair to trade: GBPUSD! Check it here!

Hi all happy forex traders!

As some of you might know by now, FapTurbo has recently added a fifth currency pair to its portfolio. Now what a nice move it was from them after seeing how great the results are trading the USDCHF!

I have been working hard on backtesting Fap on all pairs with all kinds of changes on the settings. I also started a brand new account with the latest version to see how it goes live.

The results are excellent! And from my backtests I know that this kind of equity curve is to be expected for the many months to come. But of course, only the future knows for sure! I already made many times my investments in my different live accounts, on different brokers with different settings. And I saw how critical the spread can be on the results.

Overall I found out that AlpariUK was amongst the best broker for me. The rapidity of execution, low slippage and small spreads, all made for winning more trades than on many other brokers. The variable spread is also excellent on AlpariUK because you can set the maximum spread allowed with FapTurbo to be very low, and the trades will only be opened in the best conditions even if the low spread last for less than a second!

If you’re interested in using FapTurbo with AlpariUK let me know. First because I can help you set it up. I can also discuss with you about my backtests and live results. I can also send you my .set files (but you’ll still need to purchase it so you get your own unlock key). And last, but not least, I’ll be able to give back to you 0.25 pips (or $2.5) of commission per standard lot! This will add up pretty fast to a lot of money back to your pockets every month!

Simple example: during the month of January, FapTurbo has traded 28 lots in the account you see above. This is on conservative settings and would pay out $70 of commission back to your pockets! That’s a nice positive offset to all your results isn’t it?

But personally, I like trading larger lots, taking more risk of course but getting larger commissions. For example, during the month of January, one of my live account traded with equity between $1,000 and $2,000.  It opened 57 lots anyhow, providing me with a beautiful $142 at the end of the month! This is more than 10% return on my initial balance! So just let me know because in exchange for purchasing FapTurbo through my link, I would be happy to pass this commission on to you. If you already purchased Fap no worry! Just open your new AlpariUK account naming me as your introducing broker. This simple step can mean a lot $$ back to your pockets ;)

Feel free to head to the forum if you’d like to discuss about Fap or anything else, or contact me directly at allforextraders at gmail…

I wish you great performances in your trading!

Zulutrade Provider: StreamVest

Saturday, February 6, 2010 13:37
Posted in category ZuluTrade Providers

Hi!

Another little warning for you Zulutrade users! There is this provider called StreamVest that got apparently great results and which has around 700 subscribers at the moment.

You might think 700 persons can’t be wrong but keep in mind that most of them are on demo accounts, and that providers with bad trading habits (like LowestDD, Cheetah and so many others) have even greater number of subscribers.

To be convinced right away that StreamVest is a risky provider, notice the numbers on the provider’s page. It currently shows 10,288 pips accumulated since the beginning, and -11,289 pips in floating losses!

And no way of knowing when these trades were taken, as long as the provider keep them open, they will not appear anywhere. So, using a stop-loss with him is not an option it is necessary! But there is no way of knowing if the -11,000 in floating losses is from 1, 2, 10, or 100 trades. And the difference is huge between 10 trades that stop at -100 or 100 trades that stop at -100.

Otherwise, on the current trades in history, StreamVest looks like a good trader with nice profits.

The only way this could be a good provider somehow was if the huge floating loss came from a single or 2-3 trades. In that case, a simple -300 pips stop-loss would keep you well in profits. But the only way for us to know is if the provider finally close all of his floating loss, then the trades would appear in the history and we could take them into account.

So for now I would only recommend this provider to those who can hold their breath a few weeks, but as soon as the currently opened positions are closed, I will be able to make a complete analysis and find an optimal stop-loss to use with StreamVest. In that case maybe we’ll be able to profit from his many great trades!
